What does being COR certified mean? COR stands for Certificate of Recognition and employers need health and safety programs that meet industry standards in order to qualify.
Below, I’ve listed some of the benefits COR certified companies enjoy.
- COR shows that your company is an industry leader in health and safety. COR certified companies take great pride in improving worker health and safety.
- COR gives your company a competitive edge. These days, contracts often require bidders to be COR certified. COR is usually needed to register with third-party contractor management services. It also tells potential employees your company is a good one to work for.
- COR can save your company money. When you have COR and are in good standing with WorkSafeBC, you can receive an incentive rebate of 10%. If you keep on top on health and safety, your WorkSafeBC premium will go down over time.
